If you’re going in to see your doctor and you know the conversation is going to be difficult, being prepared and having that conversation before you get there could certainly help because you’re not speaking from emotion.

You’ve thought about it and you thought that, “OK, this is what I need to say to my doctor.”

And so you’re thinking about how you’re going to say it in a way that is — I don’t want to say emotional, because sometimes it is.

But hopefully when you are prepared and you’ve thought about how you’re going to address it, then when you get there and you’re in the moment, that you are able to have that conversation in a way that is productive.
